The Indy North, US chapter was thrilled to host Matthias and Judith Rath from Bavaria in July 2024 for eight days, celebrating the third year of OF Senior. (Matthias and Judith have hosted American kids through OF as recently as 2022.) The OF Senior group was small but everyone had a great time! Activities included a tour of the Indianapolis 500 Speedway, trips to Hard Truth Distillery and Oliver Winery, an outdoor concert, a visit to the Conner Prairie 1800s reenactment village, a boat trip around Geist Reservoir, an Indianapolis Indians baseball game, and many dinners, pitch-ins, and get-togethers with the hosts (Kezia Endsley and Erik Dafforn) and others from the Indy chapter (including Matt and Lisa Burroughs, Kristina and Tim Riley, Mark and Kathy Unland, and Laura and Ed Villanyi). We all hope that we've made life-long friends and more connections across the pond!
